This year has been a whirlwind of creativity and transformation. From bold remodels to cozy home makeovers, we've journeyed together through diverse design landscapes. And what better way to celebrate this than with feeling inspired. This year, we've been inspired by the natural beauty and versatility of timber in interior design. The use of timber for ceilings, walls, and floors has emerged as a significant trend, adding a touch of nature's charm to our living spaces. The unique knots, grains, and tonal tactility of timber bring a grounding warmth that transforms any space.

Spotlight on Standout Timber Projects

Two timber-lined projects that particularly stand out to us this year are the Black Vespa Home by Stafford Architecture and the Summer House Extension by Maister.

• The Black Vespa Home: Located in Sydney’s Bellevue Hill, this home is a testament to modern functionality and aesthetic harmony. The use of Freado timber boards from Tongue & Groove on both the floor and ceiling creates a connection with the natural surroundings, echoing the spirit of the classic black Vespa.

• Now Let’s Look At The Summer House Extension: Maister's Pool Pavilion project features a kitchen transformed with bespoke timber panels. The custom timber cabinetry extends from floor to ceiling, wrapping the pitched roof structure.
