Today, we're inviting you into some of our favorite bedroom spaces – the ultimate sanctuaries for relaxation. Crafting a peaceful bedroom is an art in itself.

Your bedroom isn't just a place to sleep; it's a personal retreat that should embody tranquility and comfort. Achieving this serene atmosphere takes a thoughtful approach to design. We start by drawing inspiration from nature – its imagery, materials, and colors that naturally soothe the senses.

We're excited to share ten of our favorite bedroom designs, each unique yet unified in their ability to evoke a sense of calm and comfort. These spaces are a testament to the power of layered textures, harmonious material palettes, and subtle styling.



Look No. 01 | Four-Poster Bed

In the Twin Peaks project by Workstead, the primary bedroom is anchored by an elegantly designed metal four-poster bed. This bed, with its sleek frame and upholstered headboard, strikes a perfect balance between modern sophistication and relaxed comfort. The four-poster design adds a touch of architectural interest to the room, while the soft upholstery of the headboard invites a sense of coziness. This thoughtful combination results in a bedroom that is not only stylish but also a tranquil retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life.


Look No. 02 | Minimal Color Palette

In our Mountainside Retreat project, we incorporated a guest bedroom design based on the client’s desire to keep the color palette minimal throughout the home. We added an element of warmth and dimension with an earthy green and blue tones, setting the mood of the space and bringing in so much character. Light materials and furniture pieces layered throughout the bedroom design works to balance out the room. Modern brass lighting fixtures are softened by the natural wood accents, and of course, sweeping views of the stunning mountains surrounding the home.


Look No. 03 | Shades of Cream

There’s nothing that says peace and tranquility like a cream-on-cream palette. This primary bedroom, artfully designed by Chango & Co., is a testament to the soothing power of neutrals. The space is full of textures, each element contributing to a sense of softness and calm. Amidst the gentle cream hues, surprises of white oak wood elements are thoughtfully placed, guiding the eye to throughout the room. This design isn't just about color harmony; it's an exploration of texture, creating a bedroom that feels effortlessly serene.


Look No. 04 | Dark and Moody

In this captivating bedroom renovation by Full of Grace Interiors, a journey back to the 1940s is reimagined with a modern twist. The space feels welcoming, achieved through a moody palette that masterfully combines deep blues, lush greens, and rich yellow tones. The standout feature is the vintage upholstered chair, in a mustard yellow hue that adds a touch of romance to the room. This chair isn't just a piece of furniture; it's like a hug at the end of a long day. The carefully selected colors and textures work cohesively, creating a bedroom that is refreshingly contemporary, a perfect retreat for relaxation and reflection.


Look No. 05 | A Touch of Dusty Rose

The Chango & Co. primary bedroom design is distinguished by a delicate touch: the touch of dusty rose-toned elements. This subtle yet impactful color graces the bedding and is mirrored in the upholstery of the custom white headboard. The dusty rose hue infuses the space with a gentle warmth and a sense of a peace. This thoughtful use of color not only accentuates the room's aesthetic appeal but also sets a peaceful and romantic mood, making the primary bedroom a true sanctuary of style and comfort.


Look No. 06 | Shades of Grey

In this primary bedroom, designed by Alexander & Co., shades of grey are not just a color choice but a statement of sophistication. The palette of beautiful grey tones melds seamlessly, creating a space that is both peaceful and stylish. Central to this serene design is a custom headboard crafted from sawn American oak veneer, its natural textures offering a gentle contrast to the sleek surroundings.

The walls, finished in polished plaster, add a touch of subtle comforting glow. This choice of material not only enhances the room but also draws the eye to the sculptural elements of the space. The combination of the custom headboard and the plaster wall finish creates a bedroom that is a haven of warmth contemporary design.


Look No. 07 | Mixed Materials

In this textural bedroom design by Block 722, the interplay of mixed materials creates a captivating look. The foundation of the design is set by wallpaper, which not only establishes the room's tone but also guides the eye upwards to the walnut wood ceiling paneling. This vertical line is accentuated by wood trim, adding a sense of height.

The space is a blend of modern and textured elements. Live-edge wood brings an organic and raw beauty, while dark metal wall sconces add a contemporary edge. Wood-stomp nightstands contribute to the room's unique character, offering a rustic touch. Throughout the bedroom, the use of natural materials creates a seamless connection to the region's topography, grounding the design in its natural surroundings and adding a layer of authenticity and depth.

Look No. 8 | Bringing the Outside In

Kyra Thomas, a visionary architect, embarked on a journey to create not just a dwelling for her family but an extraordinary living experience. In her quest, she embraced the concept of 'bringing the outdoors in,' turning it into the cornerstone of her home's design. The result is a residence that celebrates the abundance of natural light, impressive scale, and thoughtful orientation. The heart of this home lies in its four central courtyards, each skillfully integrated to ensure a seamless flow between indoor and outdoor spaces. Kyra’s home stands as a testament to how architecture can harness natural elements to create a living space that is both expansive and intimately connected with the environment.


Look No. 09 | mixed modern and traditional elements

This primary bedroom, by Chango & Co., mirrors the essence of its location at Park Ave through its careful selection of organic and textural materials. The room's charm is highlighted by the harmonious blend of traditional lighting fixtures and sleek, modern furniture. The interplay of various textures throughout the space not only adds depth but also creates a warm, inviting space. This thoughtful combination of classic and contemporary elements exemplifies a sophisticated yet comfortable bedroom.


Look No. 10 | Wood paneling

In this serene bedroom designed by Sophie Burke, the space is defined by a backdrop of warm wooden paneling that extends to half the wall, providing a natural and organic touch that contrasts beautifully with the crisp white upper walls and ceiling. The bed with linens in a palette of soft grays and creams, invites rest and relaxation, echoing the peaceful space. The room's design is thoughtfully accented with understated pendant lights and a simple bedside vase, reinforcing the space's soothing feel.

Large curtains in a gentle cream hue frame the window, softening the abundance of natural light, further enhancing the quiet, reflective mood. Below, a textured rug anchors the space. Every element in this bedroom, from the furniture to the textiles is restful simplicity.
